Not sure what to say?

lost track of bill in 1975 as I moved to california, but remember the dojo off eastern (?) Was with ernie lieb in muskegon, but switched with my shorter legs, arms to shorin ryu. Many memories best.... being promoted , acknowledged a black belt by Bill in 75. Rest in peace my old sensei. May god be kind to us both.

Sensei Mattix was always a great instructor. I will always remember when we would break bricks on him as he laid on a bed of nails. Bill was a weapons master. Peace to Bill

I was very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. My sympathy goes out to his family. I was in and out of karate from
1972 and into the 90's. Whenever I was able to get back I would find his school. When I showed up it was like I was never gone. A great friend in and out of the dojo, a greater instructor, and person.

I met Bill in 1972 in a Karate class with Tadashi Yamashita. I was a white belt and Bill, a black belt. After Yamashita left, Bill became my sensei.
I trained under him for a number of years. He was one of the toughest guys I've ever met, but he was also a man with a good heart. His skill was incredible, an outstanding karate man.
He touched the lives of many... I am grateful to call him my sensei and friend. Thank-you Bill, you gave me so many good memories.

I was sad to hear of Bill's passing. May you find peace and comfort during this time, that you have friend's who care very much about all of you during this time. Thoughts and prayers to all of you. Love, Laurie Simons

I will remember Bill as the smiling, friendly and positive man I know him to be. My condolences to his family.

Bill was such a sweet man. I too worked with him at BSI. I cannot ever recall a time when he didn't say 'Hi' to me as we passed in the office. Truly one of a kind. I'm so sorry for your loss.

HE IS FONDLY AND RESPECTFULLY MISSED.SUCH A GREAT KARATE INSTRUCTOR AND FRIEND...

A good Picture of Bill.
