Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home - Man Obituary

Billy Joe Maynard, 53, of Earling, formerly of Mallory, departed this life on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at Select Specialty Hospital at Charleston, after a long illness. He was born September 2, 1964, at Logan, the son of Kenneth Edward Maynard of Logan and Nora Mae Evans Maynard of Ona. He was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Lee Maynard; and a special father-in-law, Roger Dale Walls. Bill was a coal miner for 25 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his 4-wheeler. Bill loved spending time with his children and grand-children. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years, Mary Ann Walls Maynard; two children, Robert Anthony (Jessica) Maynard of Robinette and Amy Jo (Jesse) Pack of Oceana; two grandsons, Robert Anthony Maynard II and Gunner Cole Pack; his parents, Nora Mae Evans Maynard of Ona and Kenneth Edward Maynard and his fiance, Cindy, of Logan; one sister, Mary (Timothy) Skaggs of Hurricane; three brothers, William (Beth) Maynard of Earling, Michael (Katrina) Maynard of Mallory, and Kenneth Maynard, Jr. and his fiancé, Tamara, of Logan; a half sister, Kayla (Tyler) Mullins of Logan; a very special mother-in-law, Anna Walls of Neibert; three special brothers-in-law, Jackie (Polly) Walls and Jeff Walls, both of Earling and Roger (Ida) Walls of Pecks Mill; and several nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. In honor of Bill's wishes his remains will be cremated and a celebration of Bill's life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
