I met Mr. McCalip 10 or 12 years ago and from the start I felt like I had known him all my life. He and Mrs. McCalip raised a great family and great horses. The whole McCalip family makes everyone feel like family. After I moved back to Ft. Worth, I would go to the McCalip barn to work on some customers horses feet and was always looking for Mr. and Mrs. McCalip. I had heard Mr. McCalip was not in very good health so I did my work and left. Everyone who knew him will miss him but we all know...
