Billy Nel Joseph, Sr.

Lafayette, LA----- A Celebration of Life for Billy Nel Joseph, Sr., 39, will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Carney Funeral Home Chapel, 602 N. Pierce St., Lafayette, LA. Rev. James Parker will officiate the service.

Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 8:00 AM and conclude at 10:00 AM on Saturday at the Funeral Home.

Billy was born on December 12, 1982 to the late Billy Nel Owens, Jr. and Jessie Joseph in Lafayette, LA. He attended school in Lafayette Parish and went on to work as a cook.

In addition to his parent’s, he was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Billy Nel Owens, Sr. and Mary Margaret Owens; and three aunts and uncle Denice Owens, Elizabeth Broussard and Wendell Owens.  Billy life was suddenly taken on July 23, 2022 in Lafayette, LA.

Billy leaves to cherish his memory, three children, Bailey Joseph and Billy Joseph, Jr. both of Lafayette, LA and, Daylon Owens of Dallas, TX; his fiancée Angelica Lively of Lafayette, LA; his siblings, O'Bryan Joseph of Lafayette, LA, Danielle Joseph of Clarksville, TX; Leah Joseph and Kwantia Thomas, both of St. Martinville, LA and Abbey Hebert of Carencro, LA;  maternal grandmother, Mary Narcise of Lafayette, LA; his aunts and uncles, Delana (Jeffery) Fields , Terrilyn Owens, and Josephine Owens, all of St.  Martinville, LA, Ada (Alexander) Trahan of Brpussard, Michelle (Kelvin) West of Carencro, LA and Shirley Florence, Vinent (Kelly) Stacy and Raymond Narrcise, al fo Lafayette, LA and a host of nieces, nephews other relative and friends who loved him dearly and will miss him.
