Funeral service for Billy Joe Shell, 88, will be Friday, September 15, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Bro. Joe Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Talladega Springs Cemetery in Talladega Springs, AL. Mr. Shell died Friday, September 8, 2023 peacefully in his sleep. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Shell, wife, Lunease Shell, sister, Kay (H.T.) Martin, and sister, Delores Honeycutt. He is survived by his five children, Cindy Shell (Jerome) Crowe, Dwight (Teresa) Shell, Ronnie (Melia) Shell, Billy (Reba) Jacks, April Shell (Shawn) Brown; thirteen grandchildren, Jeremy (Madeline) Crowe, Jessica Crowe (Jared) Pilkington, Jodi Shell Vincent, Josh (Shana) Shell, Joey Shell, Macon (Heather) Shell, Alyssa Brown, Ansley Brown, Wendy (Lance) Scripps, Jason (Jeanna) Jacks, Rebecca Brooks, Andrew Combs, Alana Combs; 19 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann (Harold) Ballard; and canine companion, Bo. Visitation will be Friday, September 15, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Josh Shell, Jeremy Crowe, Macon Shell, Joey Shell, Dylan Shell, Christian White, and Jason Jacks.
