Billy Joe Sherrill
Courtland
Funeral for Billy Joe Sherrill, 75, of Courtland will be today, February 1, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Winston Collier officiating. Burial will be in King Cemetery in Lawrence County. Visitation will be from 12:30 until service time.
Mr. Sherrill, who died Saturday, January 29, 2011, in Florence, was born May 19, 1935, in Alabama. He was a friend to all who met him. His sister, Marie Nicholson, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his stepmother (caregiver) Elsie Collier; one stepbrother and spouse, Patrick and Misty Collier; one sister, Pat Cannon of Las Vegas; one brother, Jack Sherrill and Carol of Hillsboro; and one half brother, Scotty Tims of North Carolina.
Pallbearers will be Timmy Terry, Jerry Terry, Doyle Montgomery, Chico Hernandez, Patrick Collier and Temple Montgomery.
