Billy Tidwell

TIDWELL, Billy ? Of Flint, age 86, died Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Swank Assisted Living.



Cremation has taken place and a private service was held.



Billy was born in Senath, Missouri on July 23, 1929, the son of the late William and Katie (Wilson) Tidwell and was a resident of the Flint area since 1953, having come from Senath, Missouri.



He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.



He loved gardening and was an avid hunter and fisherman.



Mr. Tidwell retired from GM in 1978.



Surviving are sons, Rick and wife Debbie of Burton and

Grady of Swartz Creek;



daughter, Charlotte Cooksey of Flint Township;



8 grandchildren, Mandy, Lee, David, Heather, Chris, Katie, Jenna and Cody;



7 great-grandchildren

brother, James Leonard;

sister, Madeline Hedges of Warren;



many nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by wife, Betty Jo and son, Don.
