Read MoreMy parents, Doc and Kathleen Stanaway from Eveleth Minnesota just found out Birdie passed and they are very sad. For a number of years they stayed in their park model at Mesa Arizona (Gold Canyon), and had befriended Birdie and Talbot. What good times they had with them! Birdie was a lovely lady with a great smile, she will be missed!

Oh, I'm so very sorry to hear about Birdie's passing. I was a student at Coventry School where she taught and then I got to teach alongside her when I followed in the footsteps of so many awesome teachers from Coventry. Birdie's gentle spirit and genuine smile always brightened my days at work. She left behind a shining light and she will be missed!

Birdie was a unique person whom I really enjoyed. I did not have any idea she had been a teacher as when we met she was already having some difficulty with thoughts and memories. Her smile and that cardinal shirt in her picture will be favorite memories of a special lady!
