Not sure what to say?

The Matthews Family:
I can't begin to emphasize how much you sacrificed to unselfishly share your beloved, (Mr. FJ Matthews), with so many of us. It's difficult to imagine times without him within phone distance when I have a pressing biblical question--because he could always tell me precisely which Book, Chapter and Verse! I loved him dearly as my stern pastor. Always: Richard & Pat (help & no help) --- Rest in Peace ---

Reverend Frank Matthews was a very, very special man who served his communities, both actual and spiritual, throughout his life. It was my privilege to work with him at Johnston County Head Start in Smithfield, NC the year after I graduated from college.

During that one year, 1972-73, I learned a great deal from Rev. Matthews and his leadership team. As a result of the great experience I gained at JCHS, I was recruited away to the LINK Leadership Development Program in Greensboro,...

To my Godfather,
Words can never express just how much you meant to me. I can remember all the times we would go back and forward about NC Central and NC A&T. See on earth you were an Aggie. But I’ve always known that you loved those Eagles; see you're just like one. Right now you are in Heaven with God soaring just like an Eagle so peaceful, looking over us. I love you so much!!!! By the way, “I’m doing the best I can, with what I’ve got”.

A man I will never forget. He has played a great role in the development of my values, as well of those I've instilled in my children. I am so thankful I had an opportunity to know this man and be able to call him "Pastor". Just know we won't ever forget you.

Matthews Family:
No one has the power to determine lifes end, except; God himself. Bishop has always said "When I go
" It's because he took me" I thank God to have known a man who treated my mom(his classmate).. so dear. The work has just begun and now don't pause too long for an identical messenger just like him, because there's only one. Seek through prayer, one who desires to do the will of the Father. God allows us to ....morn for a season and in the morning joy flourishes and a...

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Family..........There is none like him! There are a gazillion adjectives I could use to describe Rev.Matthews. I could fill up a couple of pages so I will just say what minister whitley preached on sunday Nov 23 "IT TAKES TEAMWORK TO MAKE HIS DREAMWORK" that is what it will take to continue on and I will always be Rev.Matthews "LIL HELP"

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

To: Aunt Mary and Family,

May God comfort you and your family during this time. I will truly miss Uncle Frank. Know that my family and I have you in our prayers. God bless you!
