Dr. Patterson modeled professionalism and expected the same from his students. He touched the lives of many, and he will always have a special place in my thoughts. As his former student, his colleague and his supervisor, I can say unequivocally that Bishop Patterson was the kind of personality you are privileged to meet on life's journey. As his student, he was always considerate, never intimidating and always made you feel that you were capable. As his colleague, he was collaborative in the work we had to do for the university.
