Having known Blain Hess as a neighbor, I can vouch for the both the size and goodness of his heart. I found him to be compassionate, caring, and genuinely concerned for the welfare of others. He was unequivocally, a fair man who exemplified a christian spirit. Most of us who lived on Beaver Road, thought of Blain as our Mayor. If you were snowed in, he would see to it that you got out.
