Mary

I had the pleasure of meeting Blair Gaines while I was working for her chiropractor in Montgomery, Alabama. She and her entire family were such a delight to be around. She always was so positive and forever being busy. Our prayers go out to the family and may The Lord give you peace during the loss of your loved one. God Bless! Beverly Searcy

My condolences and prayers are with the Gaines family. I am thankful to have had Mrs. Gaines as a teacher. She fueled my passion for my career. Her legacy will live on in all the students she inspired and encouraged over the years.

Blair had a rare gift to touch and to inspire those around her. As my teacher, she challenged me in so many ways and profoundly affected my perception of the world and of the writer inside me. Her passing will leave a void that no other soul could possibly fill.

Blair was an excellent teacher and adviser to the student newspaper. I am very saddened to hear of her passing. She was the one who encouraged me to transfer to the University of Georgia and that decision, as much or more than any other, changed the course of my life for the better. She will be miss and went too soon.

I want to offer my condolences and prayerful thoughts of comfort during this difficult time. I was very blessed to know and learn from Blair and I know I am a better person and professional because of her patient guidance and tutelage. I was recently thinking of her and remembered how we all revered her. She touched so many lives and guided so many of our community's professional communicators. May God bless and keep you all.

To the family - May you be comforted by the peace of God during this most challenging time and in the years to come.(2 Cor. 1:3-5)

Ms. Gaines was a wonderful teacher. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

When I first took her Introduction to Mass Comm class many, many years ago, I hadn't a clue what I wanted to do with my life. Her enthusiasm for and knowledge of the subject matter sparked an interest in me that has never waned. A few years later, when I was seeking direction post-graduation, she provided guidance that opened the way for a 25-year career in the...

My sincere condolences and loving wishes go out to the Gaines family. I am so sad to have learned that one so sharp and vital as Blair suffered so against this debilitating illness.
I owe a great academic and professional debt to Blair. Not only was she my favorite instructor, she was certainly also the most vibrant, entertaining and effective. She taught me probably every valuable thing that I know about professional excellence in public relations and advertising as well as imparting...
