Not sure what to say?

Dear Maxwell family,

Please accept my condolences for your loss. I met met Blair 5 years ago when his lovely Aunt Betsy brought him to my art studio in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. because she wanted me to meet him.

I had already heard so much about him...what a brilliant man with such a gentle and quiet spirit...and he was so encouraging to me as a fellow artist that I will never forget making his acquaintance.

May God bless you with His peace and comfort...

Dear Sue, George, Bruce and Scott,
Its hard to know what to say right now and why over the years we
tend to lose track of friends that were as good and close as Blair was.
These memories will always be with me:
Baseball by the Lake...
Listening to 45's at each others homes...
Fishing at Rice creek...
Catching crayfish at Jones' bridge...
Birthday parties...
Wondering around at the Field Station...
Campouts...
And...

My friend Blair was a man dedicated to helping others and learning about and appreciating life, and the human spirit, at its essence. His heart refused to be seduced by the modern world, or by material gain, into losing sight of what was real. I think he may have even been immune to that affliction. Blair, I'm glad I was able to finally begin to "get" what a gift you were before you had to go. Still, I wish I had realized far sooner. Your memory will continue to serve this world and I will...

Dear Sue, Bruce and Scott - Please accept my deepest sympathy. Blair was such a genuine person. Even though we'd not talked in years, some of the fondest memories that I carry with me to this day are of us fishing, playing basketball and ping pong and of course, the bike trips. But mostly, I count myself lucky to know that Blair was truly my friend. Blair always was and always will be a wonderful part of my life. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

"In the same way that the sea becomes something else the moment we are on it with its horizon all around us and its weight bearing us up so a journey seems not to be one as long as we are travelling..."

--from a poem by W. S. Merwin that Blair shared with me several years ago.
Thanks be to God for all the gifts Blair shared with us...my condolences to his family and friends. Peace.

Dear Sue, Bruce, Scott and family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We have such fond memories of Blair and David doing things together. He was such a fine person and will be greatly missed.

Love, Marcia and Frank Strang

Our thoughts and prayers are with Sue, Bruce, Scot and family. I remember Blair and his brothers when they were active at FUMC in Oswego.

My heartfelt condolences to the Maxwell family.
Blair was one of my best friends at Leighton Elementary School. It's so sad that as we grow up, we also grow apart...

My sincere sympathy to the family of Blair A. Maxwell.
I have many memories of Blair when he was a member of the MYF, with my daughters.
