Memorial service for Blake Matthew Alvey, 16, of Hartselle will be today, Nov. 24, 2008, at 6 p.m. at Fairview Church of God with Dr. Milan Dekich officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be today from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Blake, who died Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at Hartselle Medical Center, was born Jan. 18, 1992, in Texas. He was a student at Brewer High School and played basketball and volley-ball. He liked the San Antonio Spurs basketball team.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Ben Alvey.
Survivors include his parents, Michelle and Steven Krahn of Hartselle and Shane and Garnet Pierce of Louisiana; brother, Steven Krahn Jr. of Hartselle; sisters, Amanda Samantha Krahn and Ryne Krahn of Hartselle; grandparents, David and Kim Alvey of Hartselle, Bettie Krahn of Seguin, Texas, and Debbie and Ray Clinard of Texas; greatgrandparents, Otho and Sybil Toomes of Texas and Billie Alvey of Texas; aunts, Lauren Davis and Samantha Alvey of Hartselle, Misty Flores and Megan Dean of Texas; uncles, John Krahn of Texas and Wes Davis of Hartselle; and cousins, Jordan Allyssa Flores and William Dean of Texas and Trinity Davis of Hartselle.
