Not sure what to say?

One day in 1965 Black visited my parents' ranch. I put him on our QH gelding, an own son of Three Bars, a famed TB foundation sire of the QH breed. https://www.allbreedpedigree.com/three+bars. That gelding was super energetic and muscular, but Blake rode him easily. He told me he grew up riding his parents' horses.

I still think about you often Dave. Thanks for the great memories.

I am almost a year late. I met Dave through the HighRoad website. I met him in person at PG county and had the pleasure of spending an afternoon or two with him at the range learning about shotguns. So sad. I have been out of the circuit for a while and missed this until now. Thoughts and prayers for the family and friends. Hopefully time has eased the pain and brings you peace. Miss ya Dave.

I am just stunned to find out that Dave had passed away. Dave and I have been friends for nearly 20 years and I can't convey the loss I am feeling.

Dave was a great father and was so proud of Sarah and Ben (rightfully so) Dave also caredfor my kids and was always so very kind to them. He once came by to take my daughters on a promised Limo ride...they were so excited.

Dave and I shared many hunts and fishing trips together and many great times. I am grateful Dave and I got...

I knew Blake when he was a student at the University of Arizona. He used to hang out at the Lutheran Center, where we met. One time he rode one of my geldings, an own son of Three Bars -- not a horse for the faint of heart! I recall that Blake also was a friend of Loren Carpenter, another Lutheran Center type, who was notorious for experimenting with homemade explosives, with painful but nonfatal consequences. Loren went on to found Pixar, all's well that ends well. Our days at the Lutheran...

I'm terribly saddened by the loss of Dave.

He was a really great guy and will be missed.

Dave I miss you. Words are inadequate. You were a good man, a mensch, and a strong presence, a loving father to your children, a loving husband to my sister, and a constant caring brother to me. I appreciated you when you were here, but now that you are not, I can't help but remember all the things you did for me and there were many. I am thankful beyond measure for the times you were there. Thank you.

Words are inadequate to express the shock and sadness I feel about Dave's sudden death. Know that I am here to support you during your grief. Peace and Prayers.

I received this email from Veronica Levin, a descendant of Aunt Rachel nee Melmed:

May He rest in peace.

Verónica Levin.
