Blake was an educator without comparison, a fine coach, and a man with a good sense of humor who lived his faith and had an outstanding family.

We loved Blake! When we were moving to KC from Chicago, he was so comforting to us about our daughter and that she would do well at St. Thomas Aquinas. When she enrolled at STA she thrived! She was in many plays and musicals! When she was Moher Abbotts, we needed a large cross for the musical's church. I remembered the cross in his office. So I asked him if we could borrow his. He not only agreed but walked with me to hang it! He was so kind, unassuming, and generous to our family....

I am sorry that I will not be able to make the wake or funeral. Blake hired me at Bishop Ward High School, my first "real" job. He later hired me at St. Thomas Aquinas, when I had finished my noviciate. He was always very kind and encouraging to me and many others. May he rest in peace.

Gloria & I were very saddened to hear about
Blake. Although we feel very blessed to have known such a wonderful man. In many ways I feel like an extension of the Mulvany and McGuire families. Please pray for us Blake as I know you are in heaven.
