GRAVESIDE SERVICE:     Friday, April 4, 2025

                                            Moselle Memorial Gardens Cemetery

                                            4:00 p.m.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2025, in the Moselle Memorial Gardens Cemetery for Mr. Blake Daniel Murphy, age 39, of Sumrall. Blake went to be with Jesus on April 2, 2025 in Gulfport, MS. Dr. Keith Thompson will officiate with burial to follow in the same location. Serving as pallbearers will be Kerry Spalding, Greg Smith, Michael Robinson, Brian Phillips, Todd Davis and Ryan Robinson.

Blake loved his family. If he wasn’t with his Ma or Dad, he was asking where they were. He loved attending all of Brent’s sporting events growing up and playing with Maelyn and Mason whether that be with toys or in the pool. He was an active member of the ARC, who he lovingly referred to as ‘his kids”. With his kids he found great joy riding horses, waterpark, bowling, going out to eat, at the movies, USM sporting events, or partying it up at the ARC house to name a few. His favorite things included chocolate milk (choc), Mellow Yellow (Yellow), milkshakes, Wal-Mart, his CD player, all things Disney and USM and a good bubble bath.

He resided at the Douglas Graham group home for the last twelve years where he made numerous friends who became like family. We would like to extend our gratitude for the love and care you extended to Blake.

Blake was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Jewel Daniel and Cullen and Vera Murphy.

He is survived by his parents, Terry and Karen Murphy of Ellisville; brother, Brent Murphy of Ellisville; niece, Maelyn Murphy of Ellisville; nephew, Mason Murphy of Ellisville; special friends, Shae Riley and Mary Hodges; uncles and aunts, Larry and Sherry Hodge of Petal and Steve and Connie Daniel of Lafayette, LA.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to ARC, P.O. Box 18800, Hattiesburg, MS 39404.

Visitation will be 3:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2025, at Moselle Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Jones and Son Funeral Home is in charge of services.
