Blake Pizzolato

Today has been one year since Blake died after a 16 month battle with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. As his wife of 7 1/2 years, I miss him and his hearty laugh each day. However, while attending LSU as a college freshman, Blake chose to drive alone from Louisiana to North Carolina in order to attend a Billy Graham revival where he was saved at the alter. He shared that with me the night we met. --It brings me comfort to realize that perhaps Billy was there to greet Blake at heaven's door.

As Blake´s proud wife of the last 7 ½ years, I have to agree he was a giant of a man. Blake told me he had been 6´4" at his tallest and spent his first 2 years of college at LSU as well as additional hours later at Nichols State when not working off-shore. He was proud that he travelled about half-time domestically and internationally during the 45 years he spent with Baker Hughes´ oil service companies until about a year before we met. It included commuting half time to management...

Hadn't seen him sent we were kids. I spent time with him in Venice fishing in the summers. God bless him and sorry for your loss.
