Mr Hostad and family,
One of my fondest memories of Mrs. Hostad was the morning I had the privlage of watching her call the horses in from the pasture. With a can of grain in hand she strolled to the back door and yelled,"horses, horses"! Up came all the heads, with the thunder of hooves the steeds came a running. It was then and there I decided I wanted to be just like her! Forty three years later, not a time does not go by that I do not think of that morning as I call to my own from...

My deepest sympathy to the Family. She was such a lovely lady - whenever I think of her, my heart smiles. Thanks for all the wonderful memories of growing up around the Stables.

Chuck, may I offer my sincere condolences to you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you knowing that Blanche has gone to a better time and place.

Blanche, I will miss you and we had many good years at Black Lake.

Mrs. Hostad was a wonderful person. I will always be grateful for the years she was part of my life at Black Lake Stables. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this sad time.
