I am so sorry to learn of your mother's passing. We are never ready to let them go. Remember how she affected each of your lives and cherish her memory always. You are in my prayers.

Growing up with a mother with six sisters made for some wild family gatherings. I always looked forward to our trips to Kansas City to see Aunt Blanche and Uncle Floyd, for this was a great adventure for a farm girl, and their house was always filled with card games and activity and family. I, too, have fond memories of Aunt Blanche's cookies--I sat at her kitchen table the night of my 21st birthday, not drinking legally for the first time, but having cookies and milk with my aunt. My success or failure (mostly failures) at chocolate chip cookies has always been measured against my aunt's cookies. She made the best!

My fondest childhood memories are centered around my wonderful Grandma Blanch and the way she gave so much of herself to her family. What an true good person she always was. I will miss her.
