NELSON, Blanche L. - Of Grand Blanc, age 80, died Monday, May 23, 2016 at her residence.



 



Visitation 12-8pm Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.



 



Funeral service will be held 1pm Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home.



 



Pastor Mark W. Lasley officiating.



 



Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.



 



Blanche was born in Felch, Michigan on February 29, 1936, the daughter of the late Michael and Ida Mae(Gillespie) Miller and was a resident of the Flint area since she was 17. On September 3, 1955, she married Norman Nelson and he preceded her in death. She was employed with AC Spark Plug for 29 years, retiring in 1991.



 



Surviving are children, Lynn (Joe) Hummel, Michael (Sharon) Nelson and Debra (Matt) Miller;



 



grandchildren, Rich (Amber) Coats, Jack (Melissa) Miller, Angela Nelson, Jaime (Michael) Ferguson, Joe Hummel, Sarah Miller, Mikey Nelson, Madison Nelson;



 



great-grandchildren, Mckayla and Daelynn Coats, Jackie and Brittany Miller;



 



great-great-granddaughter Aylah;



 



siblings Jim (Margaret) Miller, Margaret (Bob) Johnson and Mitch (Arlene) Miller

She was a long time customer of my Merle Norman store in Grand Blanc. Such a nice lady, she will be missed.
