Not sure what to say?

While it has been 11 years since the passing of the dazzling person who was her own planet, she is in my thoughts every day. There are so many areas of my life that Aunt Blanch touched, for the better. While she is gone, she still reigns in my heart.

Mary:
First of all Michael and I would like to say that we are sorry for the loss of your Mother, Blanche.
Michael and I were honored to have met Blanche. Blanche was always so full of Life. When Blanche entered a room you could always feel such energy. We will always remember the GREAT TIME that we had at One of Her New Years Eve Partys!! Everything was always done so Perfectly...
I came across several pictures of Blanche that I had taken at her home, your home and at...

Dear Ronnie, and Laurie, John, and I were sad to hear about your Aunt Blanche. She was such a giving woman who was so much fun to be around. She was always most gracious to include us in her celebrations on the 4th of July. I especially remember how kind she was when she found out about the loss of my Son. Having lost a Son as well? She knew exactly what to say to comfort me. Blanche will be so missed, and it was a joy to know such a wonderful, and caring Lady. I'll never forget the fun we...

Mary Catherine, I really want to share some things about your Mom, but have NO way of making contact with you. I've TRIED! If you receive this,PLEASE contact me. Lawanna McIver
Fields, (formerly Mrs. Bruce McIver.)

My first time to meet Blanche Stanley was at a Thanksgiving Celebration in her Dallas home. She was a beautiful Lady with a style all her own. On this occasion she had on a red velvet dress and a Santa hat. Seated to great her guests so graciously then later scooting on her Round About making sure everyone was having fun. She loved giving gifts to people. Her gift in return watching our pleasure at opening the gift. The world is a poorer place without her and heaven much richer. She touched...

A while back there was a popular book titled “Tuesdays with Morrie” in which a writer chronicles the life lessons he learned from Tuesday conversations with Morrie. Well I did not have Tuesdays with Morrie but I am very blessed to have had my “Saturdays with the Blanche”.
Wide eyed and eager I tagged along with my grandfather (Herman Payne) every Saturday to “work” with him at the Stanley’s Lake House. Truth is…I did very little work. I spent half of my “work” day learning about...

I sit here thinking of years past and present. Blanche will be missed by old and new friends and even people that have never met her. Her legacy will live on for many years to come. We won't know those families but they will know Blanche for all the wonderful gifts she has given to them and their families.

Hopefully, those little children will receive beautiful designer socks and houseshoes to make them comfortable in their sickness. Those crazy socks...

We are so sad to hear of the passing of our "Grammy Blanche". We are going to miss her a great deal. She was such a warm, sweet, kind and beautiful person. We haven't known anyone quite like her. We will miss her warm and caring smile. We will never forget the way she treated us just like family. Our thoughts an prayers go out to the family. May sweet Jesus bless you and keep you.

my mom rosa started working for ms. stanley when i was 4 years old. and there are so many things i'm going to remember, jumping up on her bed and watching t.v. with the dogs, getting to have breakfast with her on the days i was too sick to go to school, getting to play dress up with her hats, jewelry and shoes. and as i got older i remember her trusting me to fix her hair when i was going through cosmetology school, her buying me a crib when i became a young mother and the very first fourth of...
