Not sure what to say?

I loved watching Bob Berry playing for Oregon as a boy growing up in Portland. I liked his leadership, ability to roll out of the pocket and play-calling. I patterned myself after him as a quarterback in high school. Wayne Schroeder

Berry Family:
I just finished a 'sports book' that is being edited now. I cover all the great teams in the SF Bay Area, and much more. Included is how I became a 'sports junkie,' from playing every sport invented, still pretty good golfer
at 82. At 9-10ish I met Bob, we played together for Royal Arcanium little league team in San Jose. I pitched,
caught, my favorite position was 2nd base. Bob already was a great S.S. and he taught me 3 different ways
to tag the bag and...

Bob, Thanks for all the help and guidance you gave me long ago. Never forgotten

Went to Edwin Markham jr. and Willow Glen High with Bob. He was one of the many friends we had in school. We were undefeated at WG with him at quarterback. Great guy...he will be missed.

Bob Berry was 5 years ahead of me at Willow Glen high school and a sports idol for me. His sister was in my class and a lifelong friend. Bob lead the way for 1960´s San Jose quarterbacks to play in the NFL. Craig Morton, Jim Plunkett, Dan Pastorini and Steve Bartkoski would follow. All in the San Jose sports hall of fame except Bob. First team all American at Oregon, twelve year NFL career, five year starter including all pro in 1969 certainly qualifies. You´ll always be in my hall of...

Bob and I were best friends through college, our intertwined NFL careers, and adult lives. I'll miss him greatly.

Bob may not even realized it, but when he was at the UofO earning his All American honor I was playing football for his Dad, Bob Sr., at Willow Glen HS here in San Jose. Because of Bob Jr´s success at Oregon his father put in a good word for me that resulted in a full 4 year football scholarship. Thank you, Bob and the entire Berry family my prayers are with you. REST IN PEACE, Bob!
