BOB FRANK BLEDSOE

Well, I am truly saddened to hear of Mr. Bledsoe's passing. Bob, I never got a chance to meet you in person, but you wrote me the kindest, most informative emails....I know you are wearing a crown in heaven, because it's obvious after reading all these entries (submitted in your honor), that you were a Blessing to many people. I want to thank Bob for inspiring me to learn more about my family through research...Peace & Blessings to your family....I will miss you.

I always looked forward to Bob's e-mail.He would always correct me by citing snopes and why my info wasn't true.I will always remember how he taught Leon Avant,a young black airman how to drive so Leon could walk to the motor pool which was about a mile away to pick up a vehicle.Leon was happy to do it cause he got to drive.
I beleive it was Thanksgiving 1953 and he invited us to his Mom's for Thanksgiving in Ft.Worth.A motley crew Gussie Hicks,Charles Engdahl and myself Frank...

Bob was like family to me and Diana, like an uncle I guess. (A really cool uncle). I really appreciated it when he and Steve came down to San Antonio right away to be with Diana, me, and my mom,after our dad (Dinny) died. They helped us get through it. (Thanks Steve).

We had a good ride for about 43 years, old buddy. Look up all our friends, especially Dinsmore, Corfield, Ditmer and you know the others. Start planning the reunion.

I am so sad to know that Bob will not be on the other end of an e-mail, I loved his stories and comments about things that I sent him. We go way back to LTV days, El Fenix parties and parties at my house, the Bower home and the Ditmer home.
