I was sorry to see the news about Bob's passing. A Dayton native and Cincinnati Reds fan, I visited Mr. Borkowski at his home in 2010 to get his autograph on a Reds book and have my picture taken with him. He was a very nice man who was a fixture in Old North Dayton and I'm glad I got to meet him. It was interesting to hear some of his stories and also of the 3S Bar he and his brother ran in Old North Dayton where some of the Reds players of the 1950s would come up for a cold one on an off...
