Bob Deering

I didn't know Bob, sounds like I missed out on knowing a wonderful person. Recently I purchased a book on the Scottish Colourist painters that belonged to Bob, it had his library bookplate inside. I paint as well, & who knows, one day I may run across one of his paintings; that would be cool. I will raise a glass of fine single malt Scotch, my favorite drink as well, to his memory & his addition to my own cherished library. Slàinte Mhath!

Bob was a friend to us through thick and thin. His quiet demeanor and ready smile always brought us joy. We laughed a lot together over the years when we spent time with Gail and Bob, and after her death, we saw Bob a few times for dinner. He was gracious and caring. We enjoyed his Christmas cards and loved his watercolors. He liked receiving our family portrait Christmas cards and always called after he received one. We will miss him.
