Bob Kane, 66, of Montrose, PA, passed away after an courageous battle with farmers lung, on Friday, December 7, 2012, at Wilson Hospital. He was born in Montrose, PA to the late John Michael and Mary Elizabeth (Birney) Kane.

Surviving is his wife, Diana (Shultz) Kane, two daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Kevin Chubbuck, Lynn, MA. Maureen and Jason Campbell, Montrose, PA, son, Cameron Kane, Lancaster, PA, granddaughter, Molly Chubbuck, sister, Jean Kane, Binghamton, NY, brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Le' Kane, NC, aunt, Gen Kane, Scott Twp., PA, numerous cousins.

Bob was a life long dairy farmer and resident of Montrose, PA. He was a member of the Holy Name of Mary Church. He loved his International Tractors and his farm, "Kaneholm". He was saddened by the death of his beloved dog, Murray, this past summer. Bob was not only a hard working man, he was also a very compassionate one, willing to help out someone in need in any possible way he could. He was also very devoted to his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at the Holy Name of Mary Church, with Rev. Gerard F. Safko, officiating. Interment will be in the Holy Name of Mary Cemetery. Visitations will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home. A Prayer Vigil will be held at 7:30 Monday.Donations in Bob's name can be made to the Endless Mountains Hospital Building Fund, 25 Grow Ave. Montrose, PA 18801.

Family and friends can take comfort in knowing he is at peace; and forever well in the hands of the Lord.

Diana, and Family so sorry for your loss and unaware till now of Bob's passing. I feel truly blessed that I stopped several years ago to ask Bob if I could hunt his land and with his gentle smile he said yes.I always enjoyed hunting the land and stoping in the barn after to visit with Bob,Mo, and pet Murray.Bob loved his farm and his family very much.Bob will be truely missed.
