I will never forget softball practice in the pasture on RT 54 beside Bob's house. Usually once a week on a hot summer night to get ready for the upcoming games at the Clark County Fairgrouds.
Bob was always kind, always caring, and always a good sport.
Rest in peace, and may His perpetual light shine upon you.
Sincerely,
Bonnie Bernard Schutte

Sending sincere sympathy to the McConkey family on Bob's passing. Bob was my school bus driver. I remember when he coached the Catawba United Methodist Church girl's softball team and his girls were members. What a wonderful long life Bob had to enjoy his family and friends.

I am deeply saddened to see that "Bob" has passed on. When I was a young girl, Mr. Bob was my very first bus driver and he was also very special to me. Always he treated me like i was one of his own children. One day, after many a long bus ride I suggested maybe he could put a radio on the bus.... to my suprise, We had one soon after! Yes, he was a special man and always will be.
You are all in our hearts and prayers. Goodbye Mr. Bob you will be missed.
