Bobby Fred “Bob” Morris, 82, of Burkburnett passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017.



 



Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Burkburnett. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at Megargel Cemetery under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett.



 



Bob was born on June 3, 1935 in Quitaque, Texas to the late Aubra Lee and Elva Leatha (Mayhall) Morris. He and Jo Etta were married on January 31, 1953 in Childress.  He enjoyed riding cutting horses, fishing, and spending time outdoors.  He was a cowboy on the Matador Ranch.  He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up and become successful.



 



He was preceded in death by his wife; son Robert Lynn Morris; sisters Ima Lee Cruse and Robbie Jo Morris; and a brother Johnny Dale Morris.



 



He is survived by daughters Sherry Neill and husband Randy of Boys Ranch, Lynda Caffey and husband Tracy of Ulysses, Kansas, Freda Debrick and husband Dan of Farmington, New Mexico, Terrie Conley of Searcy, Arkansas, Tracie Fulton and husband Stormy of Burkburnett, and Robbie Seymour and husband Melvin of Amarillo; grandchildren Jason Neill and wife Holly, George Neill, Jessica Wright and husband Curtis, Shasta Long and husband Nick, Danna Archuletta and husband David, Rebecca Debrick, Micah Snyder and husband Chris, Melissa Conley, Carla Colfack and husband Aaron, Louis Fulton, Haylee Fulton, Katelyn Seymour, and Cameron Seymour; sixteen great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.



 



The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.



 



The family suggests that memorials be made in Bob’s name to the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, 1700 North 63rd Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73111, or the charity of your choice.

May God bless and bring comfort to the family of Bob Morris during this time of sorrow. We met Bob at the LN Ranch through my brother Ron Bassett. We grew to love and respect him. It was a true honor to know this wonderful man.
