Bob Potter, 72, of Lakewood, passed away Monday, March 18, 2024 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune.
Bob, a lifelong resident of New Jersey, had been enjoying retirement after a career in custom painting. Before his retirement, he worked for the Nestle Corporation in Freehold. An avid fan of leisure and hobbies, Bob found joy in attending bowling matches to support Sharon and their friends. His interests included painting, coloring, cooking, puzzles, watching NASCAR, assembling toys and furniture for his grandchildren and gardening. Bob cherished the time spent with his family and was a proud member of Pat’s 30 Acres.
Bob was predeceased by his father Robert Arthur Potter, his mother Lillian Winthers and his stepfather Charlie Winthers.
Surviving Bob is his companion of thirty-nine years Sharon Hart; his cat Stitch; two stepdaughters Michelle Hart (Thomas Daly) and Kimberly McGowan; two sisters, Mary Anne Gravatt(late husband, Junior)and Marlene Gravatt(husband, George); two grandchildren, Maci and Teagan and several nieces and nephews: Charlene and her husband Ron, Karen and her husband Bob, Wanda and her husband Steve, Cassie, Wayne and his wife Dawn and George and his wife Anna and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob was loved and will be missed by many people.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Colonial Funeral Home, Brick is in charge of arrangements.
