Not sure what to say?

When I was 9 Uncle Bob taught me a life lesson. Don´t be afraid to remind someone they owe you money. Uncle Bob may be gone but that lesson and countless memories live on with us.

I remember Russ at school. Good guy! It seems liked we crossed paths many times and places in life but never knew it. Living in California, Oregon and Washington, fishing, boating, hiking the lakes, mountains and enjoying the ocean, the piers and beaches and even vegetable gardening at home. And serving overseas in Europe as neighbors, England and Belgium. We got married, raised our kids and enjoy our grandchildren! You had a full and wonderful life Russ! That is life's treasure. A good...

Mary Lou knows this already. Bob was the only one old enough to drive with me, besides our parents, when I was practicing for my license. He let me drive his Mustang, so cool! He encouraged me to hurry when the left turn light changed to green because," Nobody wants to wait around at a light"!! Easter vacation my sophomore year is a wedding memory. Bob made a big impact on my life and if not a hole, there's definitely a big dent now.

I was sitting here watching The Chosen and looked at my email to find that Bob passed away. I lost track of you guys and I´m so sorry to hear about Bob. I would love to get in touch with Mary Lou, Andy and Karen. Please email and let me know if you have any funeral plans. I´m in my same home and would love to connect. Please accept mine and Jamie and Dusty´s condolences.

Bob and remained friends for many years even thou we lost contact several times. I will miss him and his since of humor, as he loved sending emails with humorous content. I hope the best for those he left behind and that he will fondly be remembered.

In spite of the sorrow, it is a comfort to learn that Bob passed peacefully after what sounds like challenging closure to a satisfying life. I enjoyed being Bob's colleague at COAS and the surprise of meeting Mary Lou, realizing we had known one another in junior high school in San Francisco. Farewell, Bob. With heartfelt condolences to Mary Lou and to the family.
