Not sure what to say?

Always a fan, saw Bob and Trio in Boston about 1969. They successfully perfromed the KT catalogue without the other two original members. But I'm here to say that I've always remembered their prescient warnings in the song: The Merrry Minuet. Those warnings have never been more real or alarming, as they are today. I wish I could go back to the days of listening to them om LPs.

MY HUSBAND, ALBERT AND I MET BOB AT A SHOW IN RENO.
HE WAS ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND REMEMBER US.. I WILL MISS HIS BEAUTIFUL VOICE AND SMILE....

Loved this guy on the group he was with. I once owned hid D37K for over 20 years and suddenly he bought it back. He sang many a spiritual song through out the many albums. May he rest in peace. Gods speed.

I first saw the Kingston Trio in person at an amusement park in Utah known as Lagoon in 1966 and 1967. What a thrill for this teenager back then. My mother signed me up for the Capitol Record Club where I got my first records of the trio and the rest is history. I went from ukulele to a cheap banjo and later got a guitar. I learned almost all their songs by ear. In October of 1966, I suffered an accident, working on the railroad, that resulted in the loss of part of my left landed finger...

I saw the KT three times in concert and the guys always put on a terrific show. Bob was a wonderful musician and his often subtle humor added so much to their performance. First heard them in HS in 1958 and been a huge fan ever since. I met and visited with Nick, Bob and George Grove during a break. All were exceptionally kind to people that loved their music...always. After many years, I still enjoy their unique style and probably will until my time is over! Gods grace to Bobs family and...

Thanks to Mr. Shane, for giving us all a lifetime of memories. His voice was at the root of every Kingston Trio configuration from 1957 to 2004. If ever I wandered backstage at a show, starting in the 1980s (when I became a fan), he let me step right up and introduce myself and talk. Even though he'd heard it all before, I never thought I was boring him. We'd joke and laugh, and kept an ongoing stream of communication between us for many more years. You don't find many voices, talents...

I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family for their loss of a talented man, who will be remembered for his contribution to the music industry. May you find comfort and strength in God during this time of mourning.
