I used to see Bob Skoronski at Sunday Mass in Bloomington, sometimes with another IU great, Milt Campbell, and other IU players. I was a young high school student and he was a huge, powerful man, always gracious with the congregants who wanted to say hello to him. I was so proud he came to our church, St. Charles. I loved watching him play at IU (I sold cokes at the games, and later played far more obscurely at IU), and then on TV for Green Bay. All class.

My deepest condolences to the family. As a young girl in Green Bay, I watched Bob and his teammates every game. I always heard such good things about Bob and the good character he exhibited. You can be so very proud of such a wonderful man. May God bless him and his family. I will be keeping him in my heartfelt prayers. Peace, Sr. Mary Katherine Fax

I received notification of Bob's passing via John Clark whom you will remember from St. Mary's. Bob was really special as all of you are. I will keep you all in my prayers.

My deepest condolences to the Skoronski family. My most vivid recollections of Bob to this day go back to my youth. I sometimes saw Bob working out by himself at what was then Coon Hollow Park in Derby during hot summer days. He was an inspiration to everyone from Derby. We learned that success in any field meant hard work and dedication. We all were proud to follow his remarkable career with the Packers. The whole city would be abuzz whenever word got out he would be returning for whatever...
