Not sure what to say?

What a great sports friend to the Valley. It is A HUGE LOSS to our area. The Valley was blessed to have Bob and his wife settle here shortly after Vandy. I worked in the same building and he was the type that worked LOTS of hours. loved his job, but most of all he loved his friends! He always got a smile out of me when I was feeling bad, which now I find out was nothing compared to his health. He was a special and strong man beating the odds and not letting it get the best of him. My family...

Binki,
Please except my prayers for you. It's been many a year since you drove my school bus!!!
Bob is out of pain now and watching over you!
Take care of yourself and know that there are thousands of people supporting you in your loss. A good man will be missed by many!!

Binki,
The Pope family and the Northside Basketball program are thinking about you and praying for you. Both you and Bob have been a special part of my life and my family. In the early years of our relationship Bob was a tough journalist who wanted answers. I knew I had to always be ready when he called. After he retired from the Roanoke Times and called me about being our scorekeeper, I was deeply honored by his request. I will really miss him at the basketball games. He was always...

I considered that I had made it in Roanoke journalism when Teits put me in the regular rotation of writers covering local high school football. In recent years I proudly grew to call Teits "friend," and I loved to make him laugh at our frequent lunches. We've lost a big bat from our lineup, and the Star City is a little less brighter for it.

As a former basketball player, you could always expect a great story the next day from Mr. Teitlebaum. I enjoyed getting to know him over the years as he will be greatly missed.

Sports in the Roanoke Valley won't be the same. You will be greatly missed!

Binki, Doug and I were so sorry to hear about Bob'. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. May God bless and comfort you.

Binky, you are in my prayers. I will always treasure the many conversations with Bob, as a coach at Northside and as a broadcaster with WROV, especially the trips with Jim Carroll at the wheel. He will be missed but never forgotten.

Binky, My prayers are with you at this time. You and Bob have had a special place in my heart. I am honored to have spent the Class Reunion with Bob last April.

Love, Carol Jean Levy, PDS Class of 1957
