Not sure what to say?

It's already been three years since my brother Bob passed away. I was reading the other messages and was particularly interested in Guy Schoenborn's retelling of Bob building lures and testing them in the bathtub. He did that same thing as a child!! He would build a lure or reshape a spinner and take them to the bathtub. I think as early as nine or ten years old he was making lures better. We got into mischief when our patents weren't home and once when he was shining spinners he got the...

It was a pleasure to know Bob. We would run into him at the VA hospital or the local Safeway, and always exchanged a smile, hug and conversation. We enjoyed fishing on the Clackamas with him and sometimes just sitting on the deck and having a DQ blizzard.
You will be remembered my friend.

Bob is a cousin and I feel blessed that a few years back I had the opportunity to fish with him on the Clackamas river..RIP, Cousin!

Bob was my neighbor since 1964, we always said he was going to marry a fish = kids' He was funny and a good neighbor.
RIP, fisher man.....

I met Bob at the Wigwam in Beaverton during the mid 70's. We had similar boats and competed on many rivers and shared waters. All anglers would watch his successes and learn. We would be happy to be in an area he felt held fish along side his crews.
I wish to specifically recognize his Military service and 2 PHs.
He was also a leader in the hatchbox programs by NW Steelheaders. We need to revitalize this and carry on the legacy.
We salute you and your life efforts for all...

I had the pleasure of being introduced to Bob through my late boyfriend Dave Ford. I caught my first Steelhead on a guide with my son & daughter-in-law (in front of his house) 10 years ago and earned the name "City Girl" from Bob, which carried on till the day he passed away. Bobs passion for fishing was unsurmountable as his passion for his family, especially his grandchildren.
Bob will be sorely missed by thousands of people who knew him and experienced his vast knowledge & laughter....

Besides being one of the best fisherman and guides Bob was a great guy to be around. Always studying, learning and more importantly sharing his ideas and knowledge with anyone that would listen and many that didn't (but should have). Being a biologist I had the pleasure of working with Bob a lot. If he learned a fraction from me of what I learned from him we are both winners. Bob thanks for all you help and being my friend. I can't believe you are gone and I miss you.

As you test the...

RIP Bob. I will always remember our fishing trips on the Clackamas River and the delicious salmon dinners you cooked. My condolences to all your family.
