Not sure what to say?

I was born in 1954 and grew up in Miami. Bob Weaver was part of our family. We all watched him and relied on his work. When I was a kid I had a great interest in the weather so I tried to never miss the 5:55 PM broadcast. Many years later I went off to college and had no ability to see his show. I sure did miss it. I just saw this obituary so I wanted to add my memory of a great guy.

He was a real person. He was a funny guy. There will never be another Bob Weaver. Reest in peace. From one ofth5 O'clock club.

He was a treasure of my childhood. Nothing replaces those memories. He will be welcomed where he has traveled.

He is the first person that comes to my mind if I think about TV in the '50s and '60s. I moved away after that, but to me he is still the "real" weatherman

I happened to think of Bob Weaver, and how I missed him. I decided to look him up and see how he was remembered. I always watched Weaver the Weatherman. He was my favorite. I friend of mine worked with him. This friend asked him to say hello to me on camera. Bob said it wasn't allowed but he would try to do something. One night he came on and said. "We have High Hopes for the weather". That was for me, as my name is Hope. RIP Bob. Never to be forgotten.

The world has lost another great man-- so sad. Our world is in utter chaos and good people are dying all around us. Bob was the best of the best. We shall all miss him. My condolences to his family and friends.

I was born & raised in Miami. First watched Bob Weaver, when I was 10, as he guided us through Hurricane Donna in 1960. He was one of the reasons I developed, as a youngin´, a keen interest in the weather. While in college I didn´t major in meteorology, every chance I could, I took meteorology-related electives. Thank you Mr. Weaver... you were one in a million!

Growing up in Miami, Weaver the Weatherman was an icon. I can't count how many times in my life I have spoken about or repeated the name "Weaver the Weatherman" and I was only 10 years old when we moved out of Miami. Thank you, Weaver! My condolences to the family. You lost a great man!

As a child in the 60's living in Homestead I would be in the back yard playing and mother would suddenly announce... "JB, Weaver the Weather Man is on!"... I would come running to watch. I can't explain why, I was just drawn to him. A man to be remembered, Bob Weaver was about more than the weather, he was a pioneer who made things interesting.
