Not sure what to say?

My two sisters and I took dance lessons from Bobbie Ackerman when we were just kids in the early 60s. I remember her and her incredibly talented mother Hattie so well! Miss Bobbie was a beautiful dancer and a very kind teacher. She loved her students, and she had a talent for gently but firmly getting the best out of us without destroying our love of dancing. I know she's missed by hundreds of former students! She was a lovely lady with a kind heart. Rest in peace, Miss Bobbie.

So sorry about Bobbi death. A great friend. Saw at the YMCA and gave her my phone and never hear from her but could not reach her. Just prior to her death. A lovely person

I have fond memories of dance classes with Bobbi.

I took dance and baton lessons at the Bobbi Ackerman dance studio. Bobbie used to dance in the recitals at first then Dee Wood took over and worked with Hattie Ackerman after that. She was a great dancer and her mother was a sweetheart.

Her wonderful smile. She was my dance teacher, and I was one of her asst teachers, along w/Betty Broom, and Rita.I flew w/ her to NYC to study dance one summer late 1950s. She was a very special lady. Two of our students went on to open their own studios: Corky Bell, and Diane whose parents had the BarB Que place in Roebuck. They were in one of the classes I helped teach. I've often wondered what happened to her. Hattie was such a great lady too. I'm now 76 & also attended Woodlawn HS. PLEASE...
