Bobbie Burris

Bobbie Burris, age 71, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born August 3, 1944 in Covina, California to Willis Debbs and Geneva Claudine Bragg Rains. She was on the board of the Old Baptist Cemetery, attended Hector Assembly of God and was a former member of Retreads Motorcycle Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; her other parents, Wilson and Joy Stanton and a grandson, Andy Burris. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Melvin Burris; two daughters, Beckey Gray (Terry) of Russellville and Barbara Swaffar of Russellville; one brother, Bill Rains (Margaret) of Perryville; two sisters, Nancy Cochran (Bug) of Perryville and Carol Taylor (Larry) of Conway; four grandchildren, Jeremy, Ashley, Justin and Jody; seven great-grandchildren, Kyler, Jaeden, Jenna, Jaceline, Breezi, Ava Kate, and Baby Girl McCoy; and many other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Hector First Assembly of God with Rev. Dean Caldwell and Rev. Shane Williams officiating. Burial will be in Old Baptist Cemetery and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bobby Moore, Tommy New, Jeff Lane, Jim Barton, Tommy Hill and Tony Gray. Memorials may be made to Old Baptist Cemetery, 2322 Center Valley Road, Russellville, Arkansas 72802.
