Not sure what to say?

Dr. Merrifield, Elaine, Julie and Kathy:
I am so very sorry for your loss. Know that you will remain in my thoughts and prayers for a long time to come. May your memories bring you smiles and peace.
Love,
Your previous neighbor,
Kathryn Smathers

Bob:
I was saddened to learn of your and your children's loss of Bobbie. I know the value and importance that family had during your leadership responsibilities for TAMUS and TAES. May God grant you and your family comfort and strength during this special time of remembering Bobbie and celebrating her life.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Merrifield family. As Kathy's sister-in-law, I have heard many Merrifield family stories through the years! I have a few memories of family gatherings where I was able to get to know Bobbie and Bob and the whole Merrifield clan. I was very sad to learn of Bobbie's illness, and will be thinking of all of you in the weeks and months ahead.
With all our love,
Lacey Southerland

and Family

Mr. Merrifield, our deepest sympathies are with you and your family.

I met Mrs. Merrifield only once, but she was gracious enough to welcome me into her family and join them for lunch on Easter of last year. It meant alot to me and my thoughts are with her family.

To Bob and family,

As Bobbie's dentist, I had the privilege of seeing Mrs. Merrifield every 6 months. She always had words of wisdom for this young man struggling with three energetic little boys. I and my staff will cherish the years of laughs and joys we shared with Bobbie.

May she rest in peace.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. May your memories of Bobbie bring you comfort.

Dearest Bob and children,

My memories of Bobbie are too many to list. She was always there for me and my family, from waves across the backyard fence, to the most intense and comforting conversations over life's joys and tragedies. Forty years of friendship built a profound treasure in our hearts that grew continually. She was always ready to help anyone in need and her presence was encouraging and full of wisdom.

A sweet light has gone out in the world and we will all...
