BOBBIE JEAN PEARSALL passed away July 13, 2005. She was the third of four children born to Curtis Azelee Pearsall and Joel George Pearsall, on May 29, 1931. She graduated third in her class from Phillis Wheatley High School, in 1948. Bobbie Jean attended Fisk University, Nashville, Tennessee on scholarship for one year. She graduated from Hampton Institute, Hampton, Virginia earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics in 1952. She continued her education in post-graduate studies at the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado. Bobbie Jean returned to Houston to teach in Houston Independent School District for one year. She continued teaching in Prince George County, Maryland until her retirement. Upon her retirement, Bobbie Jean returned to Houston living in the home where she was born. She was preceded in death by her parents, and older brothers Joel G. Pearsall, and Harold C. Pearsall, Sr. She is survived by her Brother, Gurney F. Pearsall, Sr. M.D. and wife Rae Ann Pearsall; Sister-in-law, Audrey Sparks-Pearsall; Niece, Lisa Pearsall-Otey, M.D. and husband Theodore Otey, M.D.; Niece, Staci L. Tate, and husband, Dr. Stephen L. Tate; Nephew, J. Patrick Pearsall, M.D. and wife Jessica Pearsall; Niece, Vyvianne Pearsall-Sewell and husband Cloyce Sewell; Nephew, John Christian Pearsall; Nephew, Gurney F. Pearsall, Jr. M.D. and wife Marina Pearsall, M.D.; Nephew, Harold C. Pearsall, Jr. She is further survived by a host of special relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held July 18, 2005 at 2 pm, with visitation beginning at 1pm, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 1510 Pannell Street, Houston, Texas where Bobby Jean was baptized, with Reverend Harvey Clemons presiding. Interment will be at Paradise Cemetery North.
