Bobby Neill Abbott
July 5, 1945 – Sept. 6, 2021

Bobby Neill Abbott, 76, of Muldrow, passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 2021, at Baptist Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark.
He was born July 5, 1945 in Dallas, to Leonard "Ted" and Catheryn Brown Abbott. He was a member of Harvest Time and a U.S. Army Veteran that served in the Vietnam War earning several medals including a bronze star. Bobby worked in the car business for several years as a finance and insurance manager and he retired as a volunteer from The First Tee of Fort Smith after 10 years of service. Bobby enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margaret Ann Hathcock Abbott of the home; two daughters, Tracey Webb of Muldrow and Amy Abbott of Fort Smith; one son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Chelsey Abbott of Roland; six grandchildren, Jacob and Jessie Webb of Muldrow, Chance Dority who is currently serving in Qatar, Sebastian Chandler of Fort Smith, Mollie Abbott and Nick Woods of Muldrow, Dylan and Brayden Abbott of Roland; three great-grandchildren, Samuel and Aubrey Webb and Grace Woods of Muldrow; one sister, Cathy Abbott of Princeton, Texas; brother-in-law, Mike Hathcock and sister-in-law Paula and Jim Fowles of Altoga, Texas; and several cousins, nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Teddy Abbott.
Funeral service is 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, at Edwards Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will be 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, at Fort Smith National Cemetery.
Visitation was 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021, at Edwards Funeral Home. Services are entrusted to Edwards Funeral Home. To place online condolences, visit www.edwardsfuneralhome.com
