Bobby Bowden

I HAD SOME INTERNATIONAL PI KAPPA ALPHA BROTHERS IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA. You did a lot for the football program Coach Bowden.

Bobby Bowden was a 2nd or 3rd cousin to my mother. My grandfather was Hoke Smith Bowden ..and if my memory is co´rrect my mother(now deceased) went to FL State University.

My love of football began watching Florida State Football, so many childhood memories of watching coach Bowden and the Seminoles. I never got a chance to meet him, but feel like I have known him forever. Thanks so much to the family for sharing coach for all those years. Prayers to the entire Bowden Family. Coaches legacy will live on forever. God bless you Coach

Coach Bowden was a beloved coach to my husband, Bo Kaminski. He played
for the coach at WVU during the time they won the Peach Bowl. My husband
died a couple of years ago, but before he died, I was priveleged to meet the
coach at different events. He was a wonderful Christian man along with being
a great influence on my husband's life. To Bobby and Tommy and the rest of
the family, thank for sharing your dad with everyone who loved him.

Bobby Bowden will be remembered for so much more than being one of the best college football coaches of our time, but more importantly a consumate gentleman, father figure, comedian and above all a true Christian man. ✝ He loved his wife Ann, and all 6 of his children. I had the pleasure of attending one of the many dinners and speeches he gave in Tallahassee. He told many stories, all of which left me in laughter or tears, sometimes both. I have had an 8x10 picture of Bobby on my living...

Thanks Bobby and Ann for the great fun and most amazing years of FSU football ! Because of you the program was taken to the top and the success trickled down to other athletic programs as well as FSU academics. Tallahassee benefited in so many ways as did the brick company that supplied the bricks for the stadium, all possible because of Coach Bowden.
