GEORGIA HELEN WOOD

Georgia Helen Wood, 74, Henderson, passed away at 8 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2015, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

She was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Evansville. Georgia worked in retail, including De Jongs, Strouses, Schultz's, and The Baby Shop.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, Kenneth E. "Red" Wood, who died October 21, 1997; and two sons, James L. Kirchgessner and Bryan L. Kirchgessner.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Sandi Meuth Kirchgessner of Henderson; three stepdaughters, Debbie Hale and her husband, J.R., Jo Ann Toerne, and Susan Wood, all of Henderson; two sisters, Chris Strouse and her husband, Scott, and Gayle Hoffman and her husband, Mike, both of Evansville; two grandchildren, Brandon Lee Kirchgessner and his wife, Celeste, and Ashley Elizabeth Kirchgessner Bedwell and her husband, Aron, both of Henderson; one great-grandchild, Payten Lynn Feller; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fairmont Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.

Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
