Evans Funeral Home - Florala Obituary

Our Lord and Savior called home our father, grandfather and great grandfather, Bobby Kemp on March 17, 2021. Born August 16, 1932 in Florala to Charlie Kemp and Hazel Davis Kemp, he grew up in Paxton and was a dedicated community leader. He spent countless hours volunteering his time to his community through service as a city council member for 45 years, working with the fire department and EMT. Bobby was a life long member of the Paxton Assembly of God Church and that is also the place he met his wife Doris. Although constantly busy being actively involved in his church and community, nothing was more important than spending time with his family. Bobby was loved by so many because he gave love to so many. He is dearly missed by his loved ones who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by wife, Doris W Kemp; father, Charlie Kemp; mother, Hazel Davis Kemp; brothers, Jimmy Kemp and Billy Kemp; sister, Anita Nobles.

He is survived by son, Bobby C Kemp and wife Gail, daughters, Brenda C Sanders and husband Rick, Roberta W Schofield and husband Fred, Patsy K Warshefskie and husband Ed and Jackie C Norris and husband Jerry, sister, Carma Dollar and husband Fred, numerous grand and great grandchildren. He loved being their "PaPa".

Funeral services for Bobby Kemp will be 2PM Sunday March 21, 2021 at the Paxton Assembly of God Church with Ronnie Sexton officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-7PM at Evans Funeral Home. Interment will be in Paxton Cemetery. Donations may be made in Bobby's Memory to Dothan Special Olympics, Post Office Box 2128, Dothan, AL 36302.
