Bobby indeed was a talented carpenter. The work he and Uncle Marvin did still remains in the homeplace today. As a matter of fact, as we sat around the homeplace dinner table, Ottie reminded us of the cabinets in the kitchen. He remembered Bobby asking Mama for a can ring. She had no idea what he was going to do but she gave it to him. He took a simple can ring and a rule and drew a pattern to add a decorative touch to her cabinets over the sink. ...
