Bobby Milton Martin, 86, retired supervisor with Blazon Flexible Flyer and retired school bus driver for Choctaw County Schools, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018, at Choctaw County Nursing Center in Ackerman, MS. Mr. Martin was a member of Blythe Creek Baptist Church in Choctaw County. He was born July 29, 1932, in Slidell, LA. Parents were George Luther and Ollie (Russum) Martin. Funeral Services for Mr. Martin were held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS. Burial followed in Blythe Creek Cemetery. Visitation was held Monday, October 15, 2018, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS. Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Betty Fondren Martin, 1 son, Jerry Martin(Janie) of Ackerman, MS, 3 daughters, Cheryl Coggins(Thomas) of Knoxville, TN, Anita Nitzberg of Ackerman, MS, and Tracey Berry of Knoxville, TN, 1 sister, Jacquelyn Martin Christian(Joe) of Hideaway, TX. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Danielle Parrott, Doyle Coggins, Jason Nitzberg, Miranda Dantes, Jessica Rogers, and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Luther and Ollie (Russum) Martin, 1 son, Gregory Martin, 1 sister, Humoresque Smothers, and 1 brother, George Martin, Jr. Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
