Bobby E. McDonald (Mac) passed from this earth at his home in Gilroy on November 25, 2020, following a battle with cancer and Parkinson's; he was 81. Mac, born in Altha, Florida, proudly served his country as a Marine. He is survived by Diana, his wife of 44 years, sons Mark (Leah), Jeff (Victoria), and Brian. Grandfather to Chris, Ryan (Hilary), Haley, Chelsea; great-grandfather to Hunter and Niko; uncle to Catherine, Jennifer, Allison, Jim, Tommy.

A celebration of life will take place when the COVID pandemic subsides. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Bobby's name to the Salvation Army.

Dear Diana and Family, Words can’t express how saddened we are to hear the passing of Mac. We feel so lucky that we got to know you and Mac for closed to 50 years. Mac was one-of-kind, an amazing person and lead a remarkable life.

Nobody could tell funny stories like Mac....this is not a story but a saying (shoo shoo boom). Talking sports was always a favorite topic, a 49er lost on Sunday would be a huge discussion on Monday over coffee at “Stickney’s. I’ll especially cherish...
