Not sure what to say?

Bobby and I served together. I met him in ANCOC in 2000 and again in Tikrit Iraq 2003. We were in the last chalk to come home from Kuwait in 2004. Good NCO, great person, always with a smile and took great care of troops. RIP. CW3 Phelps- NKA Donna Dixon

Just thinking of you, RIP

One of the best men that I have ever known.top Soldier - proven time and again in word and deed. A man we all looked up to and to this day in 2017 all measure ourself against - I was the commander when we lost this great man and I will live with his loss for al of my life. My heart is with his family - his kids would make him proud --- what a great man, great example and great Soldier!

Then SGT. Mendez and I served together in A Co, 302 MI in Heidelberg Germany in the mid 90s. He was a great NCO and friend.

Im Melanie Mendez, bobbie was my cousin; we grew up in brooklyn, those are the memories I have of bobbie. My heart goes out to his Wife & Kids.

To the family of 1st Sgt. Bobby Mendez:
Please know that just as your loved one remains in your hearts and minds; his sacrifice, and that of your family, remains with the people he died defending. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for his bravery and selflessness, or the heartache we feel for your loss. God bless and keep you always.

I won't ever forget Bobby Mendez. We were in Korea together, and then when he was assigned to Fort Hood he stayed with my family until he got settled. He was like a brother to me. I miss him.

Thinking of Bobby and his family. RIP. We remember!!
