Not sure what to say?

I am a cousin of Bobby's wife, Martha. They were beautiful people. Everytime I took my Grandmother to see her brother, Hoytt Padgett and his wife Marie, we usually would see their children and all of them and their spouses, including Bobby, treated all of us with warmth and respect. My love and condolences to the family. Love, Doris Rogers Head

I just learned of Bob's passing. As the County Police Chief Bob and I worked closely together. He taught me a great deal about emergency management, but a lot more about being a team player. Gaston County has lost a great guy. My sincere condolences to Bob's family

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Mott:
We heard from Larry Rick several days ago that Bob was not well. We share our deepest condolances and prayers on his passing.
I remember Bob well, my being a first cousin, from visits to his house, family dinners as well as church. The most memorable moment was my Dad, Willie (Bill) Phillips, came in from work one day and said, "Well, Bob quit his job, said he was going to join the County Police and walked out of the mill."
