He is survived by his sons, Matthew Quillen (Samantha) and Christopher Quillen (Brittany); several grandchildren; sister, Myrtle Carter; special friends, Wanda and Maggie; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of The Blake, especially Jake and Shown, several neighbors, good friends and family members for their assistance.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Colonial Funeral Home, Weber City, VA from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.  Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM in the chapel with Pastor Jason Bawgus officiating.  Lindsay Osborne will provide the music.

Military Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Carter Cemetery (Stoney Creek) with honors presented by American Legion Post #3/Post #265 assisted by members of the Virginia Army National Guard Honors Team.  The family will meet at the funeral home at 12:00 Noon to go in procession to the cemetery.
